The town of Snailsbury is home to a whole treasure chest of wonderful characters who get into all sorts of fun and mischief.

This unique adventure series of twenty six, ten minute episodes has been a popular feature of the CBBC since its TV debut in 2002, and whenever transmitted, it is regularly the leading pre-school programme achieving over 35% of the audience share.

Snailsbury is a small, sleepy little town, set deep in the countryside, where life drags by at a snails pace.......but then it would.......as everyone in Snailsbury is a snail. The town is run by the Town Council and its Mayor.

He presents the status quo of Snailsbury and it is his job to see that things run smoothly, if only a bit slow. And they do.

Call the fire brigade, and they are there within days. The Snailsbury Police diligently keep and area of several square yards relatively crime free. Order your groceries and they are at your door in a matter of weeks. And Father Christmas comes but once a year........eventually.
